JJ Redick has a deal and will be the new coach of the Los Angeles Lakers

This Thursday, the 20th, the Los Angeles Lakers reached an agreement for a new coach. According to ‘ESPN’, the Californian franchise will have the recently retired JJ Redick in command of the team. Currently working as a commentator, the former player received the proposal a few days ago and is already putting together his coaching staff.

Redick is about to turn 40 and is just over six months older than LeBron James, the Lakers’ main player. According to the North American publication, the franchise’s management believes that the first job as coach will be beneficial for both parties and, for this reason, should sign a four-year contract with the former winger.

The Los Angeles Lakers were looking for a new coach and had James Borregotechnical assistant at New Orleans Pelicans, as favorite name.
