Moscow CSKA extended deal with striker Nikita Kurbanov reported the official website of the basketball club.
The 37-year-old’s contract runs until the end of next season. Kurbanov has been playing for the Army team since 2015. Previously, the basketball player played for the club in 2005-2008 and 2009-2012.

I am looking forward to the start of the next season to continue working hard, fulfill our desire for victories and once again feel the atmosphere of a crowded Megasport and the support of Army fans. CSKA will always be first! – said Kurbanov.
— Nikita is part of CSKA history and a legend of Russian basketball. I am very pleased to retain such a highly qualified professional and wonderful person on our team. There could be no other way than to continue together,” said CSKA head coach Andreas Pistiolis.
Kurbanov, being part of the “red-blues”, became three times winner of the Euroleague, eight times champion of the VTB United League and four times winner of the Russian Cup.
At the end of the 2023/24 season, CSKA became the champion of the VTB United League, defeating UNICS in the final series with a score of 4-1.
