French Basketball Federation on its official website announcement that athletes playing in Russian and Belarusian clubs will no longer be called up to the country’s national team.
– During a meeting on July 28, 2022, the Federal Bureau decided that players and staff who have signed a contract with a Russian or Belarusian club can no longer be selected for the national team as long as exclusion measures of all international competitions are in place.
This decision also applies to players and staff who have already signed a contract with a Russian or Belarusian club, the federation said in a statement.
Previously, UNICS strengthened with French striker Louis Labery, while CSKA announced the signing of a contract with striker Livio Jean-Charles.
