The 2024 NBA Draft will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, home of the Brooklyn Nets, between June 26 and 27. On both days, franchises will choose the best future prospects – Frenchman Alex Sarr is the main favorite to win the number 1 pick.
The 2024 NBA Draft will have the particularity of being split into two days, where the 1st and 2nd Rounds will be held in full. Furthermore, as has been the case in previous years, there will be 58 choices and not 60, due to the penalties imposed on the Philadelphia 76ers and Phoenix Suns for violations of the rules when signing free agents.
What is the format of the 2024 NBA Draft
On January 31, the NBA announced an expanded two-night format for the Draft. Instead of doing it all in one night, this year the first round will take place on June 26 and the second round on June 27.
The first round will still have five minutes between draft picks. For the second round, the time between draft picks will increase from two to four minutes. The Atlanta Hawks got the No. 1 pick, followed by the Wizards, Rockets and Spurs.
