Basketball “Zenith » announced the signing of a contract with American player Alex Poythress.
As stated on the club’s official website, the deal with the 30-year-old center runs until the end of the 2024/25 season.
Poythress played for Zenit from 2020 to 2022. The American won bronze in the VTB United League in the 2020/21 season and silver in the Super Cup in 2021. He also has one victory in the United League (2021 /22).
The last club of Poythress’s career was Olimpia Milan; For the team, he played 18 games in the Italian championship, averaging 7.3 points and 3.3 rebounds. In the Euroleague, the basketball player played 30 matches with indicators of 5.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 0.4 blocked shots.
