Former basketball player Nikolai Khryapa died at the age of 46, the Saratov Avtodor press service reports.
The causes of Khryapa’s death have not been specified. Nikolai is the older brother of the Olympic bronze medalist, two-time Euroleague champion, eight-time winner of the VTB United League Victor Khryapa .
— The Avtodor basketball club expresses its deepest condolences to Nikolai’s family and friends. “Eternal and blessed memory,” the message says.
In Russia, Khryapa played for Avtodor and UNICS Kazan and in the 1998/99 season he was recognized as the best young player in the Euroleague.
