Athletistic / Basketball. The second round of the 2024 NBA Draft took place last night in New York. Based on its results, the clubs distributed the rights of the 28 young basketball players remaining after the first round.
The Los Angeles Lakers selected Bronny James with the 55th overall pick. This 19-year-old American is the son of NBA legend LeBron James. It’s interesting that LeBron continues to defend the colors of the Lakers. Thus, for the first time in NBA history, father and son will play together on the same team.
Interestingly, before the start of the second round of the NBA draft, agent Rich Paul, who represents the interests of LeBron James, warned NBA teams against selecting Bronny. The manager threatened that the young American would go and play in Australia if anyone tried to recruit him.
Bronny spent the previous season playing college basketball. LeBron is the NBA’s all-time leading scorer. He previously played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat.
