Before “Boston Celtics » Jayson Tatum has agreed to a new five-year contract with the club, a deal that will become a record in NBA history, ESPN reports.
The deal will come into effect from the 2025/26 season, the 26-year-old basketball player will earn $314 million.
It’s the largest contract in league history, with the record currently held by Tatum’s teammate Jaylen Brown at $304 million over five years.
Boston selected Tatum third overall in the 2016 draft. In the 2023/24 season, the Celtics became NBA champions for the 18th time in their history.
