Belarusian national 3×3 basketball team player Daria Kulik told how the team won the final match of the Asian Children’s Games.
In the decisive match, Belarusian athletes beat the team from the Ural Federal District with a score of 14:9.
— The final match was very difficult, the opponent was not easy. But we coped with the tasks and completed them quickly. But the main thing is that we were stronger in character, and that’s why we won. “Thanks to everyone who supported us,” Kulik said on the air of the program “Everyone for the match!”
Another Belarusian basketball player, Alesya Talkovskaya, noted the pleasant and friendly atmosphere during the competition.
— We talked a little with our opponents from other countries, but we don’t know English very well. But we exchanged magnets and talked. Of course, the main thing is the new experience, playing with other countries is very valuable for us, “she added.
The Asian Children’s Games are held from June 25 to July 7 in Yakutsk at the facilities of the North-Eastern Federal University. The competition, which involves athletes up to 16 years old, will award 224 sets of medals in 24 sports.
