Another strengthening of the capital team
forwards Pavel Krutous and Andrey Gritsak signed official contracts with Budivelnik.
Krutos, 30, spent last season in Dnipro, where he was one of the main players. In 19.4 minutes on the floor, he averaged 6.4 points and 1.9 rebounds for the team.
Prior to this, Krutous played three seasons in Kyiv-Basket, and from 2015 to 2018 he played three seasons in Budivelnik, with whom he became the champion of Ukraine in 2017. Pavel has been a player of the national team of Ukraine for many years. In the current selection for the 2023 World Cup, the swingman played 3 matches, in which he brought the main team an average of 5.7 points and made 2.3 rebounds.
22-year-old Hrytsak played for Budivelnik last season, but largely due to an injury at the start of the championship, he could not prove himself to the fullest, having played only 11 matches. On average, Andrey spent 10 minutes on the floor and brought the team 1.7 points + 3.0 rebounds + 1.3 steals.
Recall that Valeriy Plekhanov, coach of the Ukrainian U-18 national team, became the head coach of Budivelnyk. Also, the people of Kiev announced the signing of new contracts with the forward of the Ukrainian national team Bogdan Bliznyuk and the American defender Archie Goodwin.
On September 21, Budivelnik will play the first match of the Champions League qualification against the Swedish Norrköpping.
The new basketball season in Ukraine may start in October in an unusual format.
