The new star of Los Angeles Lakers, Bronny Jameswas introduced by the franchise last Tuesday, 2, after having been drafted the previous week. At 19 years old, the eldest son of LeBron picked number 9 for his rookie season in the NBA, and will have “James Jr” written on his shirt.
In his first official interview, he commented on his preparation for the challenge: “It definitely amplifies the pressure a little bit. I see things in the media, people saying that I didn’t deserve the opportunity, but I’ve dealt with that my whole life. It’s no different, a little bit amplified, but I can deal with it..”

As a second-round pick, Bronny is not guaranteed to make the main roster and will make his Summer League debut. According to him, there has been no conversation with his father about the possibility of playing together next season.
“We haven’t talked about it in depth yet, because I still have the Summer League, but basically I’ve taken what he’s told me throughout my life. Working method, everything that comes my way, working, listening to the coaches, things like that, that’s what he tells me in life.“, Bronny added in the interview.
Standing at 1.88m tall, the athlete joins the franchise after appearing in the 55th pick of the Lakers in this edition of the Draft.
