LeBron James to sign new two-year, $104 million deal with Lakers – media

Before Lebron James agreed to sign with Los Angeles Lakers a new two-year contract worth $104 million, journalist Adrian Wojnarowski reports on social media.

The deal includes the player’s option to stay for a second year or become an unrestricted free agent, as well as a ban on trading him.

James, 39, has been playing for the Lakers since 2018 and in 2020 he led the club to the NBA championship. In total, he becomes a four-time NBA champion.

The Lakers previously selected James Bronny’s son with the 55th overall pick in the second round of the draft. LeBron and Bronny James are the first-ever father-son duo to play together in the NBA.
