Miami, Lakers Leading Contenders to Sign Six-Time NBA All-Star DeRozan

DeMar played the last three seasons with Chicago.

Miami And Lakers are in contention to sign the forward Chicago Demara DeRozan.

DeRozan could leave his current club as an unrestricted free agent.

The 35-year-old forward is a six-time All-Star and has 15 seasons in the NBA under his belt. DeRozan spent the majority of his career in Toronto (2009-2018), before playing for San Antonio and Chicago.

Last season, DeRozan played 79 games in the regular season, averaging 24 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists. Chicago finished the regular season in 9th place and was eliminated by Miami in the play-in round.

The Lakers made it to the playoffs last season, but were eliminated in the first round following a five-game series with Denver (1:4). Miami has a similar result – in the first round of the playoffs, the Heat lost to the future champion Boston (1:4).
