A video obtained by TMZ Sports shows Zubac, pivot of Los Angeles Clippersalready involved in a fight within the popular Bolivar Beach Bar around 5:30 a.m. Several men, apparently security guards, try to restrain him while Saric, recently hired by Denver Nuggetsrushes to help his compatriot. Saric appears to be pushed by an employee as he tries to intervene.
During the commotion, Saric is placed in a chokehold and falls to the ground, remaining there for a few moments. Meanwhile, another man yells at Zubac, telling him to calm down, which he eventually does when the player backs away with his hands raised. Saric gets up and walks unsteadily towards Zubac, and is then led away by the group of men.
Witnesses said it was unclear what started the fight, which appeared to have escalated quickly without police being present.
Earlier in the day, Zubac and Saric wore the Croatia jersey in the clash against Giannis Antetokounmpo and Greece in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament finals. Zubac had a standout performance with 19 points and 13 rebounds, while Saric contributed 14 points of his own. However, Croatia ended up losing the game 80-69, with Giannis and his team securing a spot in Paris.
