Ukrainian National Basketball Team beat the BSBL Guardians team (98:57) in the third match of the William Jones Cup exhibition tournament, which is taking place in Taiwan.

The blue-yellows gained a 10-point advantage in the opening quarter, and after the first two ten-minute periods, Vitaly Stepanovsky’s team had pulled away from their Australian opponent by 22 points.

After a long break, Ukraine continued to dictate its terms to its opponent on the court – as a result, the match was won with an impressive advantage of 41 points.

The most productive player in the Ukrainian team was Oleksandr Kobzisty, who scored 15 points (he made 11 of 14 free throws, as well as 2 of 4 two-pointers).

This victory was the first for Ukraine in the tournament – ​​previously it lost to the Taiwanese team (58:83) and the Philippine team Strong Group Athletics (74:82).

In the next match of the William Jones Cup exhibition tournament, the Ukrainian national team will play against the Japanese U-22 team. The meeting will take place on July 17 at 10:00 Kyiv time.
