Ukrainian National Basketball Team defeated UAE at the exhibition tournament William Jones Cup — 94:50.
The blue-yellows had a comfortable advantage in each quarter. We note 18 points from Alexey Solovyov and 17 points from Alexander Kobzisty.
The Ukrainian team lost two matches at the start of the tournament: the blue and yellow team lost to the Blue Team of Taiwan (58:83) and the Philippine team Strong Group Athletics (74:82).
However, Vitaly Stepanovsky’s team then began to stamp out victories: over BSBL Guardians (98:57), the Japanese U-22 team (63:47), the Taiwan B team (77:50) and Malaysia (74:65).
With one round left in the event, Ukraine is in third place in the tournament table. Tomorrow, July 21, Stepanovsky’s team will face Future Sports USA. The match starts at 10:00 Kyiv time.
