NBA Champion’s Cousin Moves to Samara

American striker Ronnie Harrell will continue his career in “Samara” reported the basketball club’s press service.

The deal with the 28-year-old basketball player is for one season. Harrell is the cousin of Detroit NBA champion and now Portland head coach Chauncey Billups.

— I chose Samara because playing in such a serious tournament as the VTB United League is a step forward in my career. “I will be very happy to come to Samara, start working and meet everyone,” Harrell said.

In the 2023/24 season, Harrell played for Greek Aris.

“Samara” lost to the eventual finalist of the tournament, Kazan UNICS, in the quarter-finals of the United League playoffs.
