Athletistic / Basketball. PBC CSKA President Andrei Vatutin said that at present a decision has been made to suspend construction work on a new stadium for the military team. In recent seasons, the red-blues have played home matches in Magasport.
“I don’t have any good news regarding the construction of our own stadium. Now the work has been suspended, the construction cranes have even been dismantled. We are doing everything that depends on our club,” Vatutine was quoted as saying by Match TV.
USK CSKA, the long-standing stadium of the military team, was put into service in 1979. The last time the army team played in their home stadium was in the 2020/2021 season. In 2022, USK CSKA was demolished.
In the 2023/2024 season, CSKA became the VTB United League champion for the first time in three years.
