The blue-yellows will continue to fight for 9th-16th places in Division B
Ukraine U-18 National Team lost North Macedonia in the final round of the group stage of the youth 2024 European Basketball Championship in Division B – 72:83.
The tournament hosts took the initiative from the start and were leading by 22 points after the first half. The Ukrainians managed to reduce the deficit in the third quarter, but the Macedonians won the game in the end.
The best player for the Ukrainian national team was Yegor Sushkin, who scored 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 steals (RE 25). Desmond Yamu had 8 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists (RE 24).
Andrius Vaisekauskas’s team scored seven points and finished fourth in Group C. The blue-and-yellows won two games and suffered three defeats. North Macedonia won Group C, winning all of their matches.
The Ukrainian national team will continue its performance in the playoffs for 9th-16th places in the Eurobasket U-18. In the next match, the blue-yellows will meet the Norwegian national team on August 2.
