American basketball player, two-time Olympic champion Lebron James received four stitches after being hit in the face during a Paris 2024 Olympics quarterfinal match against Brazil, the NY Post reports.
On Tuesday, the American team qualified for the Olympic semifinals by beating Brazil 122:87. In the third quarter, Jorginho de Paula hit LeBron with his elbow in the left eye, after which the American grabbed his face, fell to the ground and was unable to continue the match.
– I’m fine. “They accidentally hit me with an elbow,” the basketball player said.
In the semifinals, Team USA will face Team Serbia. The match will take place on Thursday. James is expected to be available for the match.
The Olympic Games in the French capital will end on August 11.
