Zoran Lukic confirmed as head coach Russian national team basketball for the next Olympic cycle, a member of the coaching council of the Russian Basketball Federation (RFB) told . Sergei Elevich .
“Lukich has been approved for the Olympic cycle until 2028,” Elevich told .
Serbian specialist Lukic led the Russian national team in October 2021. Lukic, 52, had a contract with RFB that ran until September. Until May 2024, he will combine his position in the national team with his work at Parisian club Nizhny Novgorod.
The Russian national team has been suspended from participating in international tournaments due to the situation in Ukraine.
