Emirates NBA Cup: Confirmed schedule for 2024 tournament

The second edition of the mid-season tournament in the most important league in the world is coming.

The Emirates NBA Cup (or the NBA Cup) will have its second edition in the 2024-25 season of the American league. After the success of the 2023-24 In-Season Tournament, in which the Los Angeles Lakers became champions, the new NBA competition will continue. The tournament will have the same format as last season. The NBA has drawn three groups of each conference ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The winner of each zone will advance to the quarterfinals, as will the second best in each region.

A single-elimination Playoff is then held where the quarterfinals are on the court of the best position. Then, both the semifinals and the grand final will be held in Las Vegas. Tuesday, December 17, 2024 will be the definition. This Tuesday the match schedule for the Emirates NBA Cup will have 17 televised games in the group stage. They can be seen between TNT signals (matches to be made on Disney+), ESPN and NBA TV.

The highlights

There will be two highlights on November 12, 2024. Klay Thompson will return to San Francisco with the Dallas Mavericks to visit his former team the Golden State Warriors. That same day New York will host Philadelphia in the first televised game and possibly a decisive one for Group A of the east. There will also be Jokic-Doncic in Dallas-Denver (Friday 11/22). At the same time, a LeBron-Durant at Lakers-Suns (Tuesday 11/26). Meanwhile, there will be five television shows on ‘Black Friday’ on Friday, November 29.

Once December 3 arrives, the classifications for the quarterfinals will be known. Matches at the beginning of the final stage will be played between Tuesday, December 10 and Wednesday, December 11. Then, the action will move to Las Vegas for the semifinals on Saturday 12/14 and the final on Tuesday 12/17.
