SC Prometey and its sports academy cease to exist
Executive Director SC Prometheus Dmitry Paliychuk confirmed that the club is ceasing to exist.
“Due to pressure from law enforcement agencies, our team has lost the support of partners who are not prepared to bear reputational losses due to participation in our project.”
“Over the five years of working at the club, BC Prometey became my home, and the people we worked with became my family.
We have been through a lot together…”.
“This spring we said goodbye to the Prometey Latvia team, because maintaining the club abroad for the third year of the war turned out to be an insurmountable challenge. It was difficult to find funding for the upcoming season in Ukraine. This was the titanic work of our founder Vladimir Dubinsky…”.
“I think everyone understands that finding money for sports in a country at war is a miracle! But people always followed Vladimir Mikhailovich into sports projects because it was a trust confirmed by the number of sports victories.”
“Anyone who has ever collaborated with Prometheus knows what a well-coordinated structural work and financial openness it is. Whoever came to us, whoever collaborated, always respectfully emphasized the high level and professional approach of the organization.
“In one day, all of us, our families were deprived of our beloved work, our life’s work was destroyed, because of unfounded, senseless accusations. Now we are left with only hope, hope that in this country there are people capable of stopping this lawlessness!”, wrote Paliychuk.
Earlier, the president of SC Prometey Vladimir Dubinsky reported that the club and its sports academy were ceasing to exist due to pressure from law enforcement agencies. Dubinsky also announced his resignation as the president of the PVLU and vice-president of the FVU.
In June, Dubinsky reported that basketball Prometey would 100% continue to exist, and volleyball Prometey would 99% continue to exist.
The Prometey men’s and women’s volleyball teams became champions of Ukraine last season, and the volleyball players, led by Ivan Petkov, set a unique achievement for Ukraine, not losing a single set in the domestic arena during the season.
Let us recall that at the beginning of 2024, the company “Demart” of Prometey President Vladimir Dubinsky became the title sponsor of football Bukovina.
