Ukrainian forward Sergey Pavlov will resume his career as part of the team Melillaplaying in the third division of the Spanish basketball championship.
The 27-year-old basketball player previously played for this club in 2022. Following the 2023/24 season, Melilla was relegated and will now play in the Western Conference of the Spanish Third Division.
Pavlov is a native of Makeyevka. He began his career in BC Donetsk, continued in Khimik, Pieno Zhvaigzhdes (Lithuania), Kyiv-Basket, Dnipro. He became the champion of Ukraine twice. As part of the national team, he won silver at the 2019 Summer Universiade.
During the 2022/23 season, Sergey managed to play for three foreign clubs – Estonian Pärnu, Polish Śląsk and Bulgarian Levski. As part of the latter, he also became the MVP of the Bulgarian Cup.
Pavlov missed the 2023/24 season due to a serious injury, but has already managed to fully recover.
Let us recall that another Ukrainian basketball player, Bohdan Bliznyuk, who also missed last season, previously became a player for the Lithuanian Jonava.
