FCB initially informed the Russian side in an official letter about their team’s performance at the Friendship Cup in Perm, signed by the president of the organization. The Russian side did not receive any letter of refusal to participate in the tournament from Colombia. However, the Latin American country did not send the first or even the second national team.
The Friendship Cup takes place from August 21 to 25. In the opening match of the tournament, the Colombian team lost to Parma with a score of 53:155.
Teams from Russia and Venezuela are also participating in the tournament. First, the teams will compete in a round-robin format. On Sunday, August 25, the final and the match for third place will take place.
