The Russian Basketball Federation (RBF) announced on its official website changes to the Fonbet Friendship Cup match schedule.
The Friendship Cup is held in Perm with the participation of the national teams of Russia, Venezuela, Colombia and the PARMA club. In the opening match of the cup, the Colombian team lost to PARMA with a score of 53:155. The Colombian Basketball Federation later announced that it was not sending a national team to participate in this tournament.
“In order to maintain the sporting level of the competition and ensure equal conditions for all participants, the Russian Basketball Federation has changed the schedule of the Friendship Cup,” a statement on the RFB website said.
Initially, the Russian team was supposed to meet the Colombian team on August 23, and the Venezuelan team was supposed to meet PARMA. Now the schedule looks like this:
August 23
4:00 p.m. (local time) – BC “PARMA-M” – Colombia;
7:00 p.m. — Venezuela — Russia.
August 25
11:30 a.m. – Colombia – BC “PARMA-M”;
2:30 p.m. — Venezuela — Russia
The Friendship Cup takes place from August 21 to 25.
