The Lakers basketball player underwent knee surgery and will be out for at least two months

Los Angeles Lakers basketball player Christian Wood has undergone surgery and will be out for at least two months, the NBA club’s press service reports.

It is worth noting that the 28-year-old forward successfully underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. The wood will be re-evaluated in eight weeks.

Wood played 50 regular NBA games last season, averaging 6.9 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. Before joining the Lakers in 2023, he played for the Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, Detroit Pistons and other teams.

The new NBA season begins on October 22.
