The capital’s court sentenced Yusuf Mirashurov, who beat up the former CSKA basketball defender, to three years in a general regime colony Alexei Shved reports the press service of the Moscow prosecutor’s office.
The attack on Shved took place on May 1, 2023, near one of Moscow’s restaurants. The basketball player was hospitalized; he suffered open and penetrating head trauma with skull fractures and a brain contusion.
Mirashurov was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm). It is noteworthy that Mirashurov himself partially admitted his guilt.
