Former basketball player from Khimki near Moscow and the Russian national team Egor Vialtsev announced to that he had ended his playing career.
Vyaltsev is 38 years old, he is the VTB United League champion, two-time winner of the EuroCup and FIBA Cup. The defender played for CSKA Moscow, Ural-Great Perm, Zenit St. Petersburg and Samara. Vyaltsev spent the last season of his career as a player-coach of Zenit-2 in 2022-2023.
— Last fall, you said that you were not yet considering ending your career. How are things going now?
— I’m done, 100%. I’ve been training for two years now and I’m going to continue to evolve in this direction. Now, I’m working individually with a very large number of guys. You’ll see me soon on the coaches’ catwalk.
“We can say with certainty that my playing career is over,” Vyaltsev told .
