According to The Boston Globe, the Celtics received a corresponding request from the Nets, but the club declined that option.
Kevin Durant has been trying to quit the Brooklyn Nets for a long time. Early in the offseason, he demanded a trade to another team and recently issued an ultimatum to club owner Joseph Tsai – either him or head coach Steve Nash and Nets general manager Sean Marks. After this conversation, Tsai expressed her public support for Nash and Marx.
