Cherkasy Mavpy changed their head coach for the second time in two months, the team was headed by Dmitry Nagorny

Cherkasy Mavpy announced further changes to the coaching staff. Left the post of head coach Georgy Stupenchuk. His position was taken by Dmitry Nagornywho previously worked on the team’s coaching staff.

Stupenchuk did not work in his post for even two months. Let us remind you that he was appointed head coach of the Cherkassy team in August, replacing Artem Slipenchuk, who had led Mavpami since January 2023. Note that Nagorny was an assistant to both of his predecessors.

Under the leadership of Stupenchuk, Cherkasy Mavpy underwent pre-season training, started in the FAVBET-2024/25 Super League with an away victory over Zaporozhye (90:80) in a historic match, after which they lost away to the current champion, Dnepr (63:82).

Nagorny will make his debut in his new position this coming weekend, with the Lutsk bubble matches against BC Rivne and Stary Lutsk. Next week, October 24-25, Mavpy will compete on their site with Prykarpattya-Hoverla and Kyiv-Basket.
