Kevin Garnett is not happy with the way modern stars deal with their responsibilities on current salaries.
Philadelphia’s star big man Joel Embiid recently announced that he has no plans to play back-to-backs (two games in two days) for the rest of his career.
This statement caused anger from NBA legend Kevin Garnett, who “drove” the 2024 Olympic champion.
“82 games, man. That’s what your fucking job demands of you. You don’t practice, you don’t even play, you don’t play in the summer.”
“I don’t want to hear this s**t, man. I don’t want to hear any of this stuff. Can the motherfucker miss all the back-to-backs? The league needs to get this under control. Nobody sees of anything.” , Kevin said on the “ALL THE SMOKE” podcast.
According to Garnett’s ex-teammate, Paul Pierce, if Embiid plays less, it will affect where the team finishes the regular season.
“I think Philadelphia will be hurt in terms of a spot at the end of the season. They could put themselves in a position where they have to play Boston in the first round. That’s not going to be good.”
Note that Joel Embiid missed preseason practice entirely while rehabbing his left knee.
