Vladimir Koval’s team won one victory in four group stage matches
BC Dnepr lost to Italian Sassari in the fourth match of the group round FIBA European Cup — 62:94.
The home team took the lead already in the first quarter. By the big break, Sassari led by 23 points. It was only the last quarter that the Dnipro team managed to play on equal terms, when the Italians’ advantage was more than 30 points.
For Dnepr, Daniil Sypalo scored a double-double (11 points and 11 rebounds). Vladimir Konev and Igor Dubonenko also managed to get 11 points each.
Sassari confidently leads the quartet, winning three out of three matches. Dnepr achieved one victory in four matches. In the next match, Vladimir Koval’s team will meet again with Sassari on October 24.
At the group stage of the European Cup, teams play in 10 groups. The winners of the quartets, as well as the top six second-place teams, will advance to the next round.
