Three NBA Boston fans injured in game day drone crash

Fans of the National Basketball Association (NBA) team Boston Celtics were injured after a drone crashed near the club’s arena, Fox News reported.

Basketball fans gathered on City Hall Square on Tuesday to celebrate the Celtics’ recent championship. The incident occurred shortly before the team’s first game of the 2024/25 NBA regular season against the New York Knicks (132:109).

According to Boston police, during the event, at least three people were injured due to the falling drone, and one woman was hospitalized.

“I heard a loud noise, then I felt something hit me in the head. I got really scared and I heard the woman next to me screaming, it sounded like she was about to fall,” one of the victims said.

Boston is the most successful club in the NBA, the team has become champions 18 times.
