A true friend: Schroeder defended Simmons during an argument with a fan

Brooklyn Nets star Ben Simmons is once again being vilified by basketball fans, BasketNews reports.

The player was involved in a scandal that occurred in the stands after the match between Brooklyn and Orlando (101:116).

As Ben walked down the tunnel, one of the fans yelled at him: “You trash.”

Simmons replied: “Why didn’t you say that when I was there, b*tch?”

Simmons’ teammate Dennis Schroeder then approached the fans and asked, “Who’s talking s**t about Ben?”

Someone pointed out the brawler, then Schröder, joined by other Nets players and security, began arguing with him. The episode ends with someone yelling, “Get out!”

After two starts, Brooklyn remains winless and Simmons is averaging 6.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists.
