The 38-year-old forward played for five clubs throughout his career
One of the most prestigious NBA players of his era Rudy Gay announced his retirement.
Gay, 38, spent 17 seasons in the NBA, playing for Memphis, Toronto, Sacramento, San Antonio and Utah.
The forward played for the Jazz from 2021 to 2023, after which he signed a one-year contract with Golden State. Rudy Gay never made his debut with the Warriors – 24 days after signing the agreement, he was expelled during one of the last preseason reshuffles.
Rudy Gay is also a two-time world champion as part of the US team, having triumphed with it at the 2010 and 2014 championships.
During his long career, Rudy Gay averaged 15.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
Happy retirement to Rudy Gay 🫡
