The ANO 800 Center, together with the sports clubs of Nizhny Novgorod, is implementing the “Together for Nizhny” project dedicated to the Day of National Unity for the fourth year in a row. Clubs will play home and away matches in November on dates as close to November 4 as possible in a uniform format. According to sports experts, there is no analogue to the project uniting city clubs of different sports in Russia.
In 2024, seven clubs will participate in the project: FC Paris Nizhny Novgorod, BC Paris Nizhny Novgorod, HC Torpedo, HC Start, VK ASK, mini-football clubs Torpedo and Normanochka.
As in previous years, the project combines the culture, history and cultural code of Nizhny Novgorod with sport. This year, for the first time, its theme – “Warriors of the Militia” – is directly inspired by the events of the Second Militia of 1612.
“The “Together for Nizhny” project has a rich history. In previous years it was dedicated to the architecture, urban identity and cultural code of Nizhny Novgorod. This year, for the first time, we decided to touch on the theme of the People’s Militia itself – an event that originated in Nizhny Novgorod and had a significant impact on the entire subsequent history of our country. For example, the uniform design was based on elements directly associated with the militia. Today, it is very important for us to make this symbolic parallel between the past and the present, between the moments when national unity is once again crucial for the fate of the country,” said the vice-governor of the region. from Nizhny Novgorod, Oleg Berkovich.
“The “Together for Nizhny” project is a great opportunity to clearly show that the Nizhny Novgorod region continues to live according to the “Buy for one” principle. The unification of our teams under a single uniform is proof that our professional teams form one big sporting family. On the football field, on the parquet, on the ice and on other grounds, they achieve victories for the residents of Nizhny Novgorod, glorifying the region far beyond its borders,” the vice-president of the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region Maxim Gafurov.
The chromatic and graphic solutions of the new uniform were based on historical and cultural sources: the image of chain mail, the pattern of which refers to the shapes of the tiles of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, near the walls of which the militias gathered, and the main color of the uniform is an allusion to the armor of the militia; the accent color is inspired by the color of Dmitri Pozharsky’s battle flag (the banner fabric was dyed with a natural cochineal dye and had a dark purple color), the background pattern on the light parts of the uniform is taken from the image of Minin in Mikhail Scotti’s painting; The typography is made in the Old Russian style.
To connect the eras, the years are printed on the sleeves of the uniform – 1612 and 2024, and on the collar – the phrases “Buy for one” and “Together for Nizhny”, as well as a monument to Minin and Pozharsky, installed on Red Square in Moscow and on People’s Unity Square in Nizhny Novgorod. The visual embodiment of the clubs’ playing uniform was carried out by ANO Center 800.
This year, as part of the game “Together for Nizhny”, the clubs will play the following matches:
— HC “Torpedo” against “Dynamo” in Moscow on November 4, as well as in Nizhny Novgorod against “Salavat Yulaev” from Ufa on November 9;
— BC Paris Nizhny Novgorod against UNICS (Kazan) November 5;
— HC “Start” against “Dynamo” in Moscow on November 9, as well as in Nizhny Novgorod against “Murman” (Murmansk) on December 3;
— PKMF “Torpedo” against the “Gazprom-Yugra” club (Yugorsk) on November 9 and 10;
— ASK volleyball against Dynamo Moscow on November 14, as well as against the Gazprom-Yugra club (Surgut) on November 24;

— the women’s mini-football club “Normanochka” will perform in the form “Together for Nizhny” as part of the Russian Cup in Nizhny Novgorod on November 14, 15 and 16.
The number of matches in the “Together for Nizhny” format can be increased at the request of the clubs.
This year, the photo session of the project took place at the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum against the backdrop of paintings by Konstantin Makovsky “Minin’s Appeal to the People of Nizhny Novgorod” and Mikhail Scotti “Minin and Pozharsky” , as well as in emblematic places. places in the city – in the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin and on National Unity Square – places where the militia gathered and from where they went to Moscow.
