Giannis will request a trade if Milwaukee can’t compete for a championship

“Greek Freak” wanted to play for a team that could give him a chance to become a two-time NBA champion.

Since the 2020-21 championship season, Milwaukee has not made it past the second round of the playoffs.

And as a result of the appointment of Doc Rivers as head coach, things took a turn for the worse for the team.

That led Buckeyes star Giannis Antetokounmpo to be willing to ask for a trade if he realized the team couldn’t win a championship, reports CBS Sports reporter Bill Reiter.

At the same time, the 29-year-old basketball player has already decided where he wants to end up as a result of the trade. His top choices are Miami and Brooklyn.

According to the source, the “Greek Freak” could request a trade before the trade deadline.

Through the first five games of the season, Giannis averaged 28.8 points, 11.8 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game (his career bests).

But despite this, the Milwaukee Bucks are in last place in the Eastern Conference, having won only one game.
