Simmons and Philadelphia agreed to return part of withheld salary to basketball player – media

Brooklyn Nets goalie Ben Simmons agreed with the former club “Philadelphia” on the return of part of the salary withheld for last season, according to the Associated Press.

According to the source, the player and the club have agreed not to disclose the compensation amount.

Previously, the Sixers withheld approximately $20 million from Simmons’ salary and bonuses for the 2021-22 season because the basketball player refused to play for the team, violating contract terms. Later, Simmons, 26, filed a lawsuit against Philadelphia, explaining reluctance to enter court with psychological issues.

In February “Philadelphia Cream” traded the Aussie to Brooklyn, getting James Harden in return.

Simmons is a three-time NBA All-Star. The defender missed last season due to back problems.
