The Ukrainian national team lost to Israel in the qualifying match.
On Saturday, November 23, the Ukrainian men’s basketball team played the third qualifying match for the 2025 European Championship against Israel in Riga.
In a nominally home match, the Ukrainians led by three points at the end of the first segment of the game, and entered the long break with a slight advantage. However, in the third quarter, the Israelis turned the tide and took the lead, then they took the match to victory 86:73.
The most productive member of the Ukrainian national team was Artem Pustovoy, who scored 23 points and five rebounds in 35 minutes.

This defeat is the third in a row for the Ukrainian team. In qualifying, the Ukrainians started with a loss to Slovenia (73:87), and then lost to Portugal (77:79).
The Ukrainian national team will play its next match on November 25 in Riga again against Israel. It will be a home game for the Ukrainian rivals.
The top three teams in each group advance to the final round, except for groups that include the co-hosts of EuroBasket 2025 (Cyprus, Finland, Poland and Latvia).
