The Ukrainians did not get the big advantage against Israel.
On Monday, November 25, the Ukrainian men’s basketball team played the fourth qualifying match for the 2025 European Championship against Israel in Riga.
After the first half of the match, the Ukrainians had an advantage of +11 points, but ended in defeat – 75:88.

The most productive member of the Ukrainian national team was Alexander Kovlyar, who had 15 points, three rebounds and three assists in 35 minutes.

Israel – Ukraine – 88:75 (11:16, 18:24, 27:17, 32:18)
This defeat is the fourth in a row for the Ukrainian team. In qualifying, the Ukrainians started by defeating Slovenia (73:87), defeating Portugal (77:79), and then Israel (73:86).
Ukraine is last in the standings.
The top three teams in each group advance to the final round, except for groups that include the co-hosts of EuroBasket 2025 (Cyprus, Finland, Poland and Latvia).
