Former Sacramento, Chicago and Phoenix basketball player Jimmer Fredette believes the Russian point guard Egor Demine perfectly suits the modern demands of the NBA.
Demin plays for Brigham Young University (BYU) in the NCAA. In November, the 18-year-old Russian was named best rookie of the week in the Big 12 conference twice in a row. Demin’s averages are 15.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 6.7 assists.
— Egor is the ideal point guard for the modern NBA. He’s tall and has long arms, which always works well. But his natural ability to pass and control the court at his age is something special. He has a smooth throw and will continue to improve with his work ethic,” Fredette told the Deseret News.
Next year, Demin will enter the NBA draft. The Russian should be selected among the first 14 players.
