The St. Petersburg women’s 3×3 basketball team finished the first matchday of the strongest Spartakiad at the top of the Group A table.
In their second game on Friday, the team defeated Samara region with a score of 21:14. Earlier, the women of St. Petersburg faced Vologda Oblast with no less confidence (21:12).
In another match of the 2nd round, the Ivanovo region basketball players won the Vologda team with the score of 18:14.
The third round matches, as well as the quarter-finals will take place on August 20.
A total of eight teams, divided into two groups, participate in the Spartakiad tournament. Three teams from each quartet qualify for the playoffs: the winners of the groups go directly to the 1/2 finals, the second and third places go to the 1/4 finals.
