Zotov and Krutous will miss the match
coaching staff Ukrainian national basketball team headed by Ainars Bagatskis decided on composition teams for the upcoming 2023 World Cup qualifier against Italy.
There are 12 basketball players in the final application. Defender Vitaly Zotov and forward Pavel Krutous will miss the match.
The composition of the Ukrainian national team for the match with Italy:
- Defenders: Lukashov, Sidorov, Sanon, Mikhailyuk;
- Forwards: Tkachenko, Bliznyuk, Voynalovich, Bobrov;
- Center: Gerun, Lan, Pustovoy, Skapintsev.
The match between Ukraine and Italy will be held on August 24 in Riga. The beginning is at 18:30 Kyiv time. The duel will be shown by the XSPORT TV channel. On August 27, the Blue-Yellows will play away with Iceland.
Ukraine occupies the 5th place in Group L of the 2023 World Cup selection, formed following the results of the second round matches with Spain and Georgia. The last opponent of the Bagatskis team in the group will be the Netherlands. Of the six teams, three will continue to fight in the preliminary round of the World Cup.
After the matches of the ES-2023 qualification, Ukraine will play at the EuroBasket-2022. The blue-yellows will play their first match on September 2.
