The Moscow national basketball team defeated a team from the Krasnodar Territory in the opening match of the All-Russian Spartakiad in summer sports among the strongest athletes.
The match ended with a score of 76:57 in favor of the Muscovites, who topped the Group G standings.
The teams will play their next matches at the tournament with the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (Ugra) national team. The Southerners will play their match on August 23, the Muscovites – on August 24.
In another meeting on the day of the match, the team from St. Petersburg proved to be stronger than the team from the Nizhny Novgorod region – 82:71. The teams compete in Group B, where their opponent is also a team from the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The Summer Spartakiad will last until October 2. Competitions are held in 39 sports in 12 regions of the country.
