Saratov “Avtodor” signed a contract with strikers Greg Whittington and Christian Jones, reports the press service of the basketball club.
The agreements with two American basketball players are designed for one season.
Whittington, 29, spent last season with Lokomotiv Kuban in Krasnodar, averaging 5.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals in the VTB United League, 5.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 0.8 interceptions in the European Cup. Previously the striker played for Turkish Galatasaray, Israeli Hapoel Gilboa Galil played four games for Denver in the NBA.
Jones, 29, played in Europe for Germany’s Oldenburg, Ukraine’s Khimik, Hungary’s Sopron, the Balkans, in which, under current Avtodor head coach Neboisha Vidic, he became the Bulgarian champion. The striker was recognized as the most valuable player in the Bulgarian league.
