The Italians had a super-successful third quarter

Ukrainian national basketball team conceded Italy in the qualifying match for the 2023 World Cup – 89:97.

Both teams played the first 10 minutes on equal terms (19:19), but the team of Ainars Bagatskis left for the break with an advantage of 11 points – 45:34.

However, in the third quarter Italy came out as ready and concentrated as possible. As a result – 38:22 for the Italians in the third quarter and 25:22 in the final 10-minute.

With 6 points, Ukraine is fifth in Group L. In the next match, Bagatskis’ men will play against Iceland on August 27.

After the matches of the ES-2023 qualification, Ukraine will play at the EuroBasket-2022. The blue-yellows will play their first match on September 2.
