Anna Zdebskaya, who became the Spartakiad silver medalist in 3 × 3 basketball in the Moscow region women’s team, told that with her game the team showed that she was capable of more.
In the final of the 3×3 women’s basketball tournament at the All-Russian Summer Sports Games among the strongest athletes in 2022, the Moscow region team lost to the Moscow team – 15:16.
“We had a very difficult preparation stage. Microtraumas prevented him from approaching the tournament in optimal conditions. We understood at what level this competition was, we wanted to show our maximum. Now our level is second place, but by playing we have shown that this is not the limit. The semi-final was not easy for us either, we gave it our all and got the win. A point was missing in the final. The money is wildly welcomed, but not wholeheartedly. Very satisfied with the organization. We are happy to represent the Moscow region at such serious competitions.
– If you were offered the money before the start of the tournament, would you agree?
– Not. I wouldn’t take a medal like that. I would like to go back on this path with the team, starting with the preparation, going through the three days of matches until the final. It seemed to us that it was easier to pass the quarter-finals. Of course, there was no specific task for not taking first place in the group and playing an extra round of the playoffs. But an early stage defeat saved us from unnecessary pressure, allowed us to come out more focused on the medal games.
The 3×3 basketball tournament within the framework of the Spartakiad took place from August 19 to 21 in Moscow at the Pod Most site in Luzhniki.
