Athletistic/Basketball. Georgian national team captain Tornike Shengelia thanked the fans for their support.
Due to an injury, Tornike will not be able to play in the next European Basketball Championship.
“My soul hurts more than my shoulder, because I won’t be able to help the Georgian national team at such an important moment, I won’t be able to go on the pitch to be next to my teammates. However, today, I am calm, because I know the character of our fans and players,” Shengelia wrote on social media.
The 2022 basketball championship will take place from September 1 to 18. The tournament will be organized by several countries at the same time: Germany, Georgia, Czech Republic, Italy.
