At a meeting of the executive committee of the Russian Basketball Federation (RBF), it was decided to introduce a salary limit for athletes of the men’s Super League and the women’s Premier League in the next season . This was announced on the official website to place RFB.
The board meeting was held on Tuesday. According to the established norm, the salary limit in the Premier League will be 100 million rubles for all team players during the season, in the men’s Super League – 50 million. If the club exceeds the established limit, from this amount it will have to pay an additional 10% in the form of a target contribution for the development of professional basketball.
The meeting also set the minimum player salary per season. It will be 14 million in the Premier League and 12 million in the Super League. The minimum monthly payment amount is also set at 50 and 35 thousand rubles, respectively. If the club fails to comply with the requirements, they will lose development payments.
Also in the CSR message, it is noted that the rules on the salary limit may change before each new season.
